Personalized piano instruction built around the individual student’s goals, pace, and musical interests. Private lessons offer maximum flexibility and individual attention.
Best for: Students who benefit from individualized instruction or have specific musical goals
Format: Single 55 minute private lesson
Materials: Books purchased as needed
Travel: In-home lessons available; travel arrangements and pricing are negotiable
One-on-One
$125/month + $75 annual materials fee
Small-group piano instruction designed to give students the benefits of structured lessons while learning alongside other developing musicians. Students work at their own level within a supportive class setting.
Best for: Most beginning and developing piano students
Format: Weekly 55-minute class • Up to 5 students
Materials: Books and learning materials provided through the annual materials fee
Schedule: Students attend the same class time each week
Piano Classes
$1,500/month
An intensive, highly individualized program for students who want to pursue piano and musicianship at a much deeper level. The apprenticeship combines frequent instruction, structured practice, and long-term development around the student’s individual goals.
Best for: Highly motivated students ready for a serious commitment to musical growth
Format: Intensive individualized instruction • Customized study plan • Ongoing coaching and accountability

Piano Apprenticeship
$100/month + $50 annual materials fee
Small-group chess instruction built around a structured curriculum, guided practice, and coached play. Students develop their skills alongside other players while progressing at a level appropriate to their experience.
Best for: Beginning and developing players who want structured instruction and regular practice
Format: Weekly small-group class • Lessons, puzzles, exercises, and coached games
Materials: Chess Steps workbooks and other learning materials provided through the annual materials fee
Schedule: Students attend the same class time each week
Chess Classes
Chess
$75 per session
Personalized chess instruction built around the individual student’s level, goals, and playing style. Private lessons allow for deeper game analysis, focused training, and faster progress on the areas that matter most to each player.
Best for: Students who want individualized coaching, tournament preparation, or focused improvement
Format: Private lesson • One student with one instructor
Materials: Books and training materials purchased as needed
Travel: In-home lessons may be available; travel arrangements and pricing are negotiable

Homeschool & Charter Families
Castles & Keys is happy to work with homeschool and charter school families!
We are currently applying to become an approved vendor with local charter schools and homeschool programs so families can use eligible educational funds toward chess and piano instruction.
If your family uses a charter or homeschool program and you would like to take classes with us, let us know which program you use. If we are not already an approved vendor, we’re happy to look into their vendor application process.
